ABMA Unveils Landmark "Boiler Historical Timeline" Chronicling 400 Years of Innovation
The American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) is proud to announce the debut of the ABMA’s Boiler Historical Timeline, a comprehensive project titled "ABMA and the History of Boiler Innovation." This landmark initiative officially premiered as a key feature at the 2026 BOILER Expo, captivating a record-breaking crowd of over 1,720 attendees.
The timeline offers a first-of-its-kind look at the technology that has powered the world since the late 17th century. For centuries, the boiler industry has been forged by tradition and fueled with innovation. This new project tracks that remarkable evolution, from the massive coal-fired giants of the industrial revolution to the digitally optimized, high-efficiency systems that define today’s energy landscape.

The Expo Experience
Attendees at the 2026 BOILER Expo were the first to experience the timeline through a massive, walk-through wall display located in the center of the main aisle. This immersive exhibit allowed visitors to physically journey through four centuries of engineering milestones.
